The three given illustrations depict the position of a volcano alongside a village before and after a volcanic eruption.
Overall, the eruption has caused significant damage to the village’s infrastructures and natural features, particularly in changes to the volcano’s structure and the reduction in residential area.
Initially, the volcano was located in the top left-hand corner, while palm trees were scattered across the entire area. There was a large lake positioned centrally, with several houses situated along its shoreline. In addition, in the southeastern part of the village was a smaller lake surrounded by multiple houses.
Following the eruption, while the volcano has been significantly enlarged, the central lake has been completely demolished. There have also been a noticeable decline in the number of houses, along with the relocation of some palm trees. Despite the destruction of the central lake, the smaller lake in the bottom right-hand corner was only partially reduced in size.
