The three pie charts show the share of money spent in a particular school in the UK per year for the years 1981, 1991, and 2001.
Overall, teacher salaries were the most dominant throughout the period and remained unchanged in 2001. Meanwhile, other expenses dropped, except for insurance and furniture equipment.
Insurance had the smallest amount of budget spending from 1981 to 1991, after which it increased to 8%, achieving almost the same proportion as book resources in 2001. As for the largest amount, the salaries of tutors were the highest, rising from 40% to 50% in 1991. However, it experienced a decrease to 45%.
The remaining three categories each accounted for around 15% of the total in 1981, but all fluctuated in the subsequent periods. Of all three money expenses for the school, furniture and equipment had the least proportion initially, after which it dramatically rose to 23%, overtaking resources for books and other employment income. Additionally, other salaries for workers registered a small change, with 5% less than at the beginning.
