In 1975, visitors used to enter through the stairs from the top of the layout. Close to the entrance, there was a specially-designated area for books and magazines on the left, while new books were located on the right. Moving toward the center, a library desk was located between the area for news books and the children’s books, near which was the toilet. In contrast, bookshelves and shared areas were situated on the left.
Today, the library has been transformed into a more visitor-oriented place, with the addition of a coffee shop, which came at the expense of a reduction in the number of bookshelves in the center of the library. A wheel access spot has been added, allowing disabled people to enjoy the facilities of the library. Although the library desk, children’s book, and the toilet remained intact, the books and magazines section has been removed to make way for the new computer area, indicating the shift toward digital resources.
