The figures shown hear are indicating gender of prison inmates and criminal convictions in the UK by age and gender.
a glance at the pie chart provided reveals males makes the majority of inmates in the United Kingdom and collation of it with the line graph confirms this hypothesis.
It is obvious and nonignorable that most of the crimes are taking place in 20s of the offenders without considering their gender. Regardless of the percentages, both males and females’ age line has striking similarities. They start with lower ones in lower ages and begins a exponential growth to the peak at age of 20s. then it slide away with a smooth slope in women and a bit sharper one in men and males line maintains its superiority during these decades.
The remarkable point in the figure is the equality of percentages in both lower and higher ages, it means getting offender has same possibility in 10-15 and 30s. so liked the middle-aged, teenagers should not stay away from the eyes of the government.
As a conclusion, the predominance of males among prisoners is a considerable point which the above figure illustrates, and despite the significant similarity between two genders rising in ages of 20s and following the same pattern by two genders lines, still the male offenders makes the huge number of prisoners.
