According to the first graph, the average temperature is higher in Darwin than that of Melbourne throughout the year. Furthermore, the hottest month is August in Darwin and July in Melbourne, with temperatures peaking at 30 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively, while the coldest month comes in January in both places, with a temperature of 18 degrees centigrade in Darwin, which is triple that of Melbourne.
According to the second graph, the average hours of sunshine change in opposite directions in the two cities, wherein the amount of sunshine increases steadily from 6 hours in January to around 11 hours in June and then starts to plateau, followed by declining from September in Darwin. However, in Melbourne, the case is different. It begins with a high figure of 10 hours in January and the time slowly drops to the bottom of 6 hours in May, which lasts 5 months, before climbing sharply.
