The maps illustrate the changes in road access to a city hospital between 2007 and 2010.
Observing the pictures, it is evident that significant changes took place in the road system throughout the given period.
Regarding 2007, there was a ring road surrounding the city hospital, which led to a crossroad at the end of Hospital Road. City Road was located to the south of this intersection. Moreover, there was a car park for both staff and the public on the right side of Hospital Road. Additionally, several bus stops were located along Hospital Road.
By 2010, the ring road around the city hospital remained unchanged, but three roundabouts were introduced at key locations: one at the intersection of City Road and Hospital Road, another in front of the hospital entrance, and one connecting the new bus station to the ring road. The previous car park for both staff and the public was converted into a staff-only car park, while a new public car park was constructed to the east of the city hospital, with direct access from the ring road. Furthermore, the bus stops were replaced by a bus station located on the western side of Hospital Road, which was connected to the roundabouts.
