Band 7: The two maps below show a housing estate now,and how it will look after redevelopment (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The maps illustrate changes that will take place in a house estate.

Overall, this housing estate will be arranged more reasonably and modernized significantly with additional convenient amenities.

At present, there is a U-shaped internal road from the main road that divides the area into two small parts. The number of trees makes up a lot and is distributed among the four-bedroom houses.

As regards plans, the private road still remains U-shaped but will become smaller in size and surround the tree area. From this road, a new branch will be built leading straight to the flower garden at the center that will also be newly constructed, and next to this pathway, a lake and a tennis court are planned on the left and right, respectively. All the four-bedroom houses will be replaced by one-, two-, and three-bedroom houses and evenly arranged around the central garden. Most of the trees are expected to be cut down to make space for other new layouts. At the back of this estate, a parking area is going to be added to serve the residents.
