The two maps illustrate the changes in th Central park over a 30-year period between the 1990s and the 2020s.
Overall, Central Park has undergone significant development, with new facilities being added and changes taking place in the existing areas. Some original features, however, have remained unchanged.
In the north of the park, the Flower garden, which occupied the largest area of the park in 1990s, has been reduced significantly in size by 2020 .A new stage for programs has been added to its right, and further the museum of Local History too in the top right-hand corner. The children’s play area, which in the west of the map, has also been slightly reduced and to the bottom of it, the toilet has been reconstructed(previously it was in the top right-hand corner of the map). In the south of the map, there used to be a telephone booth and the entrance. However, a new cafe has been built on this site, and the entrance has been relocated to the west of the map. Next to the old entrance, although there used to be the pair of shops, by 2020 it has been reduced to only one.
Despite these changes and developments, several facilities have remained unchanged. This include the Krisha temple in the top left-hand corner, the Buddha statue at the centre of the park, and the Koi pond in the bottom left-hand corner.
