The two maps illustrate the changes in road access to a city hospital between the years 2007 and 2010. Overall, the infrastructure around the hospital saw significant improvements over the period, with the addition of roundabouts, separated parking facilities, and a new public transport system, all aimed at enhancing accessibility and reducing congestion.
In 2007, the hospital was accessible via Hospital Road, which connected the Ring Road in the north and City Road in the south. There were three junctions along Hospital Road, and a single shared car park for both staff and the public was located on the eastern side of the road. No dedicated facilities for public transport were present.
By 2010, two roundabouts had been introduced: one at the intersection of Hospital Road and Ring Road, and the other where Hospital Road met City Road. Additionally, a bus station was constructed on the west side of Hospital Road, connected via a separate road. The original car park was replaced with two distinct ones—staff parking on the east side of Hospital Road and public parking accessed from Ring Road.
