The maps illustrate the transformations that have taken place in a small park since 1980. Overall, the park has become more accessible and equipped with additional amenities, such as roads, gates, benches, barbecues, and playgrounds, although these improvements have come at the expense of green spaces. Notably, the pond, surrounded by benches, has remained unchanged.
One of the key modifications is the construction of walls enclosing the park, with two gates providing access—one in the southern section and another at the top-left corner near the pond. Additionally, new roads have been introduced in the northern part of the park and along the right side of the pond, improving connectivity.
In terms of recreational facilities, a barbecue area with picnic tables has been added in the upper-right section of the park, replacing some trees. Similarly, the lower-right corner, which previously contained a flower bed, has been converted into a children’s playground. Meanwhile, the flower beds in the lower-left corner have been replaced with bushes, reducing the overall green space in the park.
While these changes have made the park more functional and accessible, they have also led to a decrease in its natural landscape.
