Fast forward to 2007, Pentland has undergone significant transformation. Grassland cleared to leave space for the cinema, shops, multi story car park and houses. Where there had once been a swimming pool, there is one industrial area. Apartments come at the expense of removing the car park. The park was positioned in the north-west. The yacht marina was located in the north, which is adjacent to the sea.
