The given maps illustrates the transformation of Tilden Airport and the surrounding area in between 1985 ana 2015.

Overall,It is clear from the maps that the airport has undergone significant changes. The replacements of factories and johnson’s farm is one of the noticable changes.

In 1985, majority of the north east side was reserved for johnson’s farm which made the airport looks small.The international terminal were situated on the west side of the airport along with the domestic terminal. Following the terminal there was a road towards the east which connected the cark park . factories were situated on the south east side.

In 2015, The johnson’s farm is changed into Business park,housing estate and space for Runway two. The international terminal is expaned toward the road and the Airport support sevice is replaced by bus and light rail station. Factories are demolished to make space for Airport support service and Hotel and conference centre.The runway on the west side remained the same
