The two pie charts illustrate how many proportion of different industries sectors contributed to the economy of turkey in the year 2000 and 2016.
Overall,it can be clearly seen that the construction contributed least to the economy and agriculture was the most significant sector in 2000, whereas at the end of the period healthcare and education became the largest economic segment and finance, business and other showed lowest contribution.
To begin with, construction sector accounted for 3% in 2000 which experience a threefold increase in 2016. Economic income from trade, utilities and transportation was 14% which witnessed a slightly growth of 2% in 2016. Manufacturing and finance, business and other made up 8% and 5% respectively, however their figures rose to 12% and 8% in 2016.
Further analysing the charts, agriculture which comprise to almost quarter of Turkey’s economy in 2000, fell to 14% in 2016. Output from government and leisure and hospitality sector were at 12% and 17% respectively, although both decreased to 9% and 14% after 16 years. In contract, healthcare and education remains constant in both the years at 17%.
