The two pie charts illustrate the percentage contribution of industry sectors to the economy of Turkey in year 2000 and 2016.
According to the pie charts,it can be seen that the percentages of Construction, Manufacturing and Trade/Utility/Transportation and Finance/Business/Other increased over the period when Agriculture, Government and Leisure/Hospitality decreased. While,the Healthcare and Education remain stable.The highest production decrease is in Agriculture compare to Construction which increasd. While,the Healthcare and Education is remained the same.
It is evident, the largest sector of the Turkish economy in 2000 was Agriculture and made up 24% ,while in 2016 it was 10% less. The main sector of the economy in 2016 was Healthcare and Education and made up 17% in both years. The Leisure and Hospitality decreased for 3% by the 2016. In 2000 it was 17%. Likewise, the downward trend was recorded in governmental sector. In 2000 it was 12%, while in 2016 it made up 9%.
Obviously, Construction sector made a significant increase from 3% to 10%. Also, Manufacturing increased in it contribution to the economy and made up 12% in 2016. There was a rise in the Trade/Utility and Transportation sector and the Finace/Business and Other. The former increased to 16% and the latter expanded to 8%.
