The 2 pie charts illustrate how different industry sectors contributed to the economy of Turkey percentages in 2 years in 2000 and 2016.
Overall, it can be seen that at the beginning of the period construction represented the least to the economy of Turkey and agriculture was the most significant economic sector. In comparison, at the end of the year healthcare and education became the largest economic segment and the lowest contributionwas made financial, business and other services.
In 2000, the agriculture sector accounted for the largest share at 24 %. While government was 12 %, trade, utilities and transportation made up 14%. However, both of leisure, hospitality and healthcare, education was equalled to 17%. Finance, business and other and manufacturing contributed 5% and 8% repectively, eventhough the contruction sector was only a small minority.
Looking the second picture, it is clear that healthcare and education remained fairly constant at 17 % similiarly this figure showed the highest in 2016. The agriculture sector decreased to 14% meanwhile the government also declined to 9% and the finance, business and other sectors dropped to lower 1% than government sector. In terms of, construction, manufacturing , trade and utilities sectors accounted for 10%, 12% and 16% accordingly.
