The diagrams given below depicts the Townsville Sports Centre and it’s surroundings in the year 1995 and the modernized look of the same in the year 2015.
Overall, there was a drastic change of the centre as compared in both years 1995 and 2015 respectively. In 1995, the reception that was located to the West was shifted to the South by 2015, whereas the restaurant area was completely converted into a cafe. Subsequently, football pitch to the east of the designed plan was meticulously merged and named sports Hall.
The interior design observed in the year 1995 was intrigued in 2015. There were showers and sauna built on either sides of swimming pool making it comfortable for the people to freshen up themselves. In 2015, gym was made more spacious for timely exercises so that it may accommodate more people than 1995.
Furthermore, changing rooms were separated from disabled and were aligned to the West. However, over the period of 20 years the sports Centre had been renovated to a greater extend and had a decent structure.
