The tables below show the number of international students from different countries in Canada and USA in two school years. Overall, Canada’s international student numbers grew, especially from China and India. USA had fewer students from India but more from China and Canada.

In Canada, the number of students from China, USA and India increased over the two years. In 2002 – 2003, 5,400 Chinese, 5,000 students come from The USA and 2,100 are Indian. The total was 60,000. By 2003 – 2004, the amount of students increased to these following rate, 8,000 are Chinese, 4.450 American, 2,800 Indian. The total was 70,004. The increases were 45% for China, 9% for USA and 35% for India. The overall total increased by 17%.
