Dear officer,

I am writing this letter to bring your attention to a serious issue that occurred two days ago. The sewer line close to my house overflew resulting in streaming of sewer water on the road and towards our garden enclosure. Here is my complaint number 457197.

The sewer line connected to our home seems blocked or needs repair. I have already reported this to wastewater services. They registered my complaint and assured me that it would be fixed within three hours considering the gravity of the fault. The situation has gone from bad to worse. The strange odor coming from the public sewer is unbearable. It is hard to pass by the road and this odor extends into our home too. We also apprehend that if this sewer line is not repaired with immediate effect, it may become a habitat for mosquitoes.

I want you to get this sewer repaired at the earliest or else I will report this incident to the media.
