The column chart illustrates the usage of green energy in transport field in six European Union nations and the average between 2009 and 2010.
Overall, most of EU countries had increased the use of renewable energy, France remained unchanged while Slovakia and Austria fell. The percentage of green energy in Slovakia was the highest in two years whereas Greece was the lowest.
In 2009, Slovakia and Austria were the highest green energy consumers, which took up to 9.5% and 7.5% in their transport sector respectively. However, these numbers decreased in the next year to just 7.8% and 5.1%. Meanwhile, France’s percentage of reproductive energy was 6.1 and stayed steady in both year.
The rates of clean energy in Poland, Spain, Greece and the EU itself had experienced a noticeable growth between 2009 and 2010, as they grew from 5%, 4.5%, 1.1% and 4.2% in 2009 to 6%, 5.8%, 2% and 5.9% respectively. Therefore, reflected the positive trend in the use of reproductive energy.
