The plan illustrates the site of the present airport and planned developments to be made over the next year.

Overall, considerable expansion and modernisation of the airport are planned. Compared with the previous layout, the walkways will be replaced by SkyTrains, while the number of gates will also sharply increase from 8 to 18. Also, a shopping area will be added where passengers can spend their time comfortably.

Looking first at the existing layout, there are large areas of open space and relatively few facilities. In the next year, a bag drop area will be added in the security and passport control site which did not previously exist. This will make it easier and faster for passengers to pass through this area.

Another significant change will take place in the passport control customs area. In the previous area there were relatively few facilities to make passengers’ journeys quicker and more convenient. After the redevelopment, new facilities such as an ATM, a cafe and a car-hire service will be added, providing passengers with additional amenities and making their journeys more comfortable and convenient.
