The data in the graph of 2025 show operating systems global market value comparing theee OS computer systems with others over the 4 years from 2012 to 2015. Before 2012 the global market share of computer operating systems was largely held by other operating systems then OS systems. With the coming up of modern technology and OS systems market value of other operating systems started to decline year by year and OS operating systems started to control their market. As OS operating systems started to gain attention in the modern digital world their market share value also started increasing every year.
Starting off with year 2012 other operating systems had control of global market share having 48% of total market shares. They were ruling the market at that time. But their growth saw decline over the next 3 years as in 2013 share value decreased from 48% to 35% a massive decline of 13% in just one year. As of 2014 again market value dropped 12% and reached 23%. This was an alarming situation for other operating systems as sgare value kept on decreasing year by year. In 2015 market vakue of other operating systems again dropped to 15% a huge decline of 8%. Year by year the market value kept on decreasing with advancement in digital world and other OS operating systems share value kept on 8ncreasing.
In 2012 OS 1 was the one that attracted a huge attention of the world amd its value kept increasing over the years. In 2012 OS 1 had 20% of the total share of global market and we saw a steady increase in its share value for next years. In 2013 OS 1 market share value was standing at 30% and in 2014 its share hiked at 47% of the global market share leavinf behind all other operating systems in the market. In 2015 OS 1 alone had more than half of the market share 52% of the global market.
OS 2 held the market share of 17% in 2012 and we can see it held the same pace and same share value in 2013 also when others operating systems were loosing their market value. In the next 2 years in 2014 and 2015 OS 2 shares increased by 1% making it to 18% for both financial years. Somehow it maintained it’s market value in the global industry and had a minimal growth from 2012 to 2015.
Coming up to the next operating system OS 3 it’s market value saw some ups and downs as compared to OS 1 and OS 2 who held their market control over the four years span. In 2012 OS 3 had held 15% of the total market share value of global market operating systems. But in 2013 its marke value declined 5% and reached to 10% total global market share value. Whike other OS systems were gaining strength in the market its value decreases. In 2014 OS 3 market value increasespd 2% and was standing at 12% of the global market share. In the next year 2015 OS 3 again gained 3% and reached same market value as it was in 2012 15%.
