The diagram demonstrates the changes in landline telephone ownership between 2000 and 2004 in nine different countries around the world. It’s clear that Singapore has the biggest number of people who owns a landline telephone over a five-year period. In contrast, Myanmar has the lowest number of ownerships, approximately 8 people in 1000.
While the quantity of ownerships in Singapore stays on top compared to other countries, it has slightly decreased from 460 people in 1000 people in 2000 to 420 people in 2004. Trends in Brunei i Darussalam stay relatively stable between 2000 and 2002. However, the number of ownership show a decrease from 250 to 230 people in 1000 people in 2004.
Both Cambodia amd Vietnam pictures almost the same trend from 2000 to 2004, as the landing telephone ownerships increased throughout the period. In addition, although the number of owners increased between 2000 and 2002, it reached to its lowest point in 2004 with no people who has an landline telephone ownership.
