Overall, the location was significantly transformed with the introduction of new facilities and a more standardized transport system to improve its accessibility.
In 2007, the city hospital was surrounded by a circular road which was called “Ring Road” and could be accessed by Hospital Road running from south to north. To the southern area, there was an intersection created by City Road and Hospital Road. On both sides of Hospital Road, there were three bus stops located along each line. Moreover, there was a parking lot for both staff and public to the right of Hospital Road. It could also be accessed via a gate from Ring Road.
In 2010, Ring Road opened another gate to the east, which led to a new car park designed for the public to separate from the staff-only one located in the old spot for parking. The bus stops were demolished to make way for one centralized bus station on the left of Hospital Road. The most notable change was two roundabouts being constructed: one at the junction of Ring Road and one at the intersection of City Road and Hospital Road. It was also designed to link directly to the bus station.
