Dear Naveen,

I hope you and your family doing very well. I’m writing this letter to express my apologies that I could not make our family get-together in my home at Chennai.

As I know we both had discussed a lot to decide the date for our get-together, it might be surprising for you to hear this. Moreover, you said that you will be coming along with your family and I’m too excited to receive all of your family. I can really understand how you would be distress after heading this, but the only word I can say is sorry.

We have planned our get-together on 2nd December, but my sister’s marriage is planned on 3rd December in Pondicherry. And the reason for this emergency is the groom for my sister is moving to abroad on December 3rd week, so our family decided to arrange the marriage before he goes. What else can I do as a brother I have to be in my sister’s wedding?

The only thing I can do is I can ask my best friend to plan our get-together on another day. I will be on vacation on 3rd week of January next year, and would you mind can we have our plan on 15th January?
