The chart illustrates disparities in computer and Internet accessibility across the Arab region.
The UAE and Kuwait are by far the most computerized countries, followed by Saudi Arabia, and at a significant distance. The UAE has over 150 computers per 1000 inhabitants, in comparison with Saudi Arabia’s 60 and Kuwait’s 130. In contrast, Egypt, Morocco, and Syria have less than 20 computers per 1000 inhabitants.
Similarly, there is also a great proportion of Internet users, with 300 or more users per 1000 inhabitants in the UAE. In addition, Kuwait and Lebanon are second and third, with 100 users per thousand in Kuwait and 80 in Lebanon.
Also the most noticeable feature of this graph is that in several countries number of internet users ler thousand are more such as in ( Jordan, Lebnon,UAE) , where as in kuwait , Saudia Arabia , Seria internet users as compared to number of computers is lower.
In conclusion, there are huge differences between computer and Internet users in the Arab world, but the UAE clearly leads the region in both areas.
