The bar chart illustrates the amount of expenditure on three types of fast food (hamburgers, fish & chips, and pizza) by three main income groups in the UK in 1990.

From an overall perspective, it is evident that the higher the income, the more money is spent on fast food. Additionally, hamburgers were the most popular choice for both the high-income and average-income groups.

The high-income group spent significantly on hamburgers, with each accounting for around 40$ per week, which is more than half of their expenditure on fish & chips and pizza, at roughly 20$. In contrast, the choice of hamburgers was still the highest at about 30%, but the fish & chips consumption overtook that of pizza, at approximately 25$. The average-income group spent only 10$ per week on piisa.

The low-income group spent the least on fast food overall. Unlike the high and average-income groups, fish & chips were their top choice, with expenditures just below 20$ per week. This was followed by hamburgers at nearly 15$ per week. Pizzas had the lowest expenditure not only in this group but also in the entire chart, with just over 5$ per week.
