Overall, the number of hours spent on work was the highest among the given six task groups for both gender, while shopping recorded the lowest number. Men spent more hours for working, doing houshold chores and others than women.
On avarage male spent about 8.5 hours for work, compared to women with 8 hours. For both gender second time-consuming task was sleeping with approximately 6.1 hours and 6.8 hours for men and women, respectively. Other tasks took men 2 hours more than these for women, at 5 hours. Moreover, it was the biggest difference by gender among the given six task categories. By contrast, women significantly outperformed men in taking care of childen, spending on almost 3 hours per day, while it took only 1.2 hours for men. There was no significant diffence in hours spent on doing houshold shores and shopping by male and female.
