The table gives information about the percentage of water used for three different purposes in four countries.
Overall, it is evident that all four countries used the least amount of water for domestic purposes, while in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, the agriculture sector accounted for the most share of water. However, the industry was responsible for the largest percentage in both New Zealand and Canada.
Egypt allocated the largest amount of water for its agriculture, accounting for 82%, while only 8% and 10% was used in the domestic use and the industry sector, respectively. Saudi Arabia used 30% of its water for the industry sector, half of the percentage used for agriculture, 64%. And the least water usage went to the domestic use, 6%.
However, in Canada, the industry sector comprised over two-thirds of the total water, 70%, followed by the agriculture, 10%, and with the domestic use taking up two-fifths, 20%. Meanwhile, New Zealand used 46% and 44% of its total water for the industry and agriculture sectors, respectively, yet the domestic use stood at only 10%.
