The given line graph demonstrates hiring of individuals across three different jobs, namely, Manufacturing, Services, and Agriculture. In the years 1975 and the projection for 2025, trends were measured in millions.
Overall, looking at the graph, we can see that at the beginning of the period Manufacturing was dominant; however, according to predictions, in the future Services will take the lead.
Turning to the details, it is understandable that in 1975 hiring for agriculture accounted for 80 million (which was dominant among all). Figures for Manufactoring and Services, however, stood at the same level, which was around 10 million. Until 1977, the figure for Agriculture did not experience any changes, whereas Manufacturing and Services increased by around 1 million (from 10 to 11 million). Then in 1979, hiring for Agriculture faced a dramatic decline of 40 million. Manufactoring and Services, on the other hand, boomed steadily, accounting for 25 million of hiring, respectively. After 3 years, the figure for Agriculture remained at 40 million, while the two other categories increased parallel and stood at 40 million in 1980.
In 1980, Services and Agriculture crossed at 40 million. Services went up dramatically, reaching 60 million in 1982. Interestingly, Manufacturing started to decline and reached 18 million in 1982. Agriculture was at a higher stage, around 21 million, in comparison with manufactoring. There is a prediction for all categories that in 2025 services will take the lead at around 90 million; the two other categories will stand at almost the same level, 10 million and 11 million, respectively.
