The given line chart illustrates how many people were employed in the USA from 1975 to 2025 and including predictions for the future. This chart also shows data about the employment in three different sectors: manufacturing, services and agriculture.
Overall, it is evident from the graph that almost in three sectors we see relatively constant number of workers. However, there are fluctuations, especially in manufacturing, reaching its peak in 1980, whereas the two sectors, show predominantly tremendous declines and increases.
According to the graph, manufacturing has started its trend by remaining stable with 80 million workers from 1975 to 1977, then started to decline sharply in 1979 by falling around 40. Following this, there is a slight decrease in employment that continue to fall considerably until 2025. In service sector the number has started gently to grow and after 1979 there was a noticeable increase in number of workers reaching 90 million in 2025. And the last one, agriculture which is less desirable in comparison to other sectors-the number of employees almost have remained same at 10 million from 1975 to 1977 and then rose slightly in 1979. From that year, the agriculture has reached the highest point at 40 million in 1980 but then declining dramatically in 1982.
To sum up, through all these years the three sectors had their low and high points in terms of employment but the predictions for the future are showing that agriculture will continue to be less favored by people, whereas manufacturing is probably going to decrease slightly. Services will have a dominance which the number of workers will increase even more in the near future.
