The bar chart demonstrates how many hours per week, on average, males and females in five different countries: Japan, the USA, the UK, Raly and Canada engaged in household chores in 2024.
In general , the woman in all countries spending time on household activities were higher than males did. the total time doing chores in Canada made up the highest number, in contrast the USA recorded the lowest the total of amounts of time by both male and famale.
Looking first at Raly and USA, girls spent time doing chores in Raly ranked first with 34 hours per week, however; the figure for boys devoted the least total hours to houseworks with about 10 hours per week. Turning to the USA, the amount of hours engaged in doing chores by female doubled compared to male, with 30 hours per week and 15 hours per week, respectively.
Regarding to the remaining countries, for women, the avarage time spent on household chores was the highest in Japan with 32 hours per week, followed by the UK with 30 hours per week and the lowest in the Canada with 27 hours per week. On the other hand , men devoted the most time to houseworks in Canada, less in the UK, and the bottom in Japan, with 20 hours per week, 18 hours per week and 12 hours per week.
