The provided diagrams illustrate the difference in layout of Marlton Gallery before and after renovation.
Overall, it is clearly seen that the remodelling work significantly increased the size of the gallery, with the introduction of new utilities. The building initially consisted of 2 floors and a roof garden, which then extended to 3 floors and a parking lot.
Starting from the top of the construction, it can be observed that the roof garden was replaced by the third floor for the education center and media room. Additionally, lift was heightened in order to provide access to the newly built floor. Furthermore, the special exhibition area on the second floor was previously used for media room, expanded markedly compared to the initial design. Moreover, the moved exhibition room area is now turned into a parking lot. The early front desk is splitted in half, with one half belonging to the coat room. In addition to that, a stair area was constructed among the gift shop and coat room, providing a convenient access to the next floor.
