The graph below includes both a bar chart and a line chart illustrating the average weather conditions for the first six months of the year compared to swimming suit sales within the same time period.
Overall, we can see that, in general, the warmer the weather, the more bathing suits are purchased. Except for May and June, when sales drastically dropped to around one-third of what they were in April, despite the temperature being higher than it was before.
Starting with January, when the average temperature was 30 degrees Fahrenheit, $100,000 worth of suits were sold, this value only slightly increased to around $125,000 in the next month, while the weather remained similar.Between February and April, the temperature spiked by almost 20 degrees, reaching 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Similarly, bathing suit sales also increased dramatically, from $150,000 in February peaking to almost $300,000 in April.
Interestingly, there was a massive drop in suits sold in May and June, to approximately $75,000 and a mere $25,000, respectively. The temperature continued to rise until June, reaching an estimated 65 degrees.
