The diagram below illustrates the environmental problems increased by a product through out its life cycle.
There are the total seven steps in this process. The first step is planning and design of the product. Eventually, the product consumes materials and energy resources . Then the product is produced.
After the product is produced the fourth step is packaging and distribution where the company packs the product and sells to its customers. At the sixth step finally customers use the product and disposes or recycle it. Throughout this production steps a product affects our environment directly or indirectly as it pollutes surrounding from dust materials. Whereas, while producing a lot of harmful chemicals are used and also it generates wastage after the product is used.
To conclude, a product affects our environment throughout its life cycle. Even after the product is used if it is not recycled it would be disposed which will affect our environment
