Overall, we can see that in both San Diego and California, water is mainly used for residential purposes. While looking into the water usage globally, we can clearly see that the usage of water is for agricultural purposes.
Looking into the information in more detail, we can see that in San Diego and California, the rate of usage of water for residential purposes is the highest, with 60% and 39%, respectively. This is followed by industrial purposes, with percentage rates of 23% and 33%. Whereas, the least amount of water is used for agricultural purposes in San Diego and California, with rates of 17% and 28%, respectively.
By contrast, the rest of the world primarily uses water for farming activities, with 69%. It is then followed by industrial usage, with a rate of 23%. Lastly, residential functions have the lowest rate, at 8%.
