Band 6+: Writing Task 1 You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The pictures show the changes of a park from 1980 to the present day. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

The picture below illustrates the change in the park that occurred from 1980 to the present day.

In the first picture, it shows a brick wall enclosing the park and having a one-way entrance from the southern to the top northwestern. Through the southern entrance, the left side is the place which has four seating arrangements around the pond, and on the top northeastern end, there are three mature trees, leaving a massive open wilderness. Also, a small flower garden can be located at the start of the entrance.

The modern-time picture shows a more defined and redesigned scene. The major change is the removal of the brick walls surrounding the park, and the whole one entrance changed to have four entrances crossing at the center, creating a junction. The major change has been done on the top right side of the park where the removal of the mature trees can be seen and has been replaced by a socializing area for mass communication with the nearby community. However, the pond-side area, which is located at the bottom left of the map, remained the same, but one of the top right benches has been removed to provide the socializing zone. The change in paths creates spacing that leads the park to have a children’s playground at the bottom right of the park.

In conclusion, the overall changes do have a positive impression. Since the problem was solved by the addition of new trees at the side of the socializing zone to keep the park green throughout.
