The given maps illustrate how the village called Stokeford had developed from 1930 to 2010. There were several changes, the most noticeable being the increased residential areas, replacing farmlands and the garden.
In 1930, Stokeford was a small rural village with some agriculture areas or farmland that surrounded the road. There were also a few houses along the road. This road aligns with Stoke River, with a bridge across the river in the north. Shops, a post office, a primary school, and gardens with a large house were located near the main road. While gardens and primary school were on the west, several shops and the post office were on the opposite side.
In 2010, Stokeford experienced an urbanization, resulting in more residential areas that replaced farmland. There were also more alleys from the main road. The post office remained in the same location over the period, same as the primary school, even though it underwent an extension in building. However, gardens and shops had vanished from the map, and the large house that used to be in the gardens was converted to a retirement home.
