The graph illustrates the number of international students, specifically from France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, and Syria, registered to a sophomore course in graphic design in the south of England. Overall, most of the male foreign students are taking up the Computer-Aided Design program while the female overseas students by large attends photography classes. It is also notable that majority of the international students are female.
Out of the 56 international students participating in the said course, 30 are female and most of them are enrolled in the photography course. This is true in all the foreign nationalities except there are no female Syrian registrant to that particular core option. There were 5 female photography enrollees from France, 6 from Germany, 7 from Sweden and 3 from Spain while the remaining third are participating in CAD classes.
On the other hand, the male foreign students are mostly enrolled to the CAD course with 21 participants. Although there is a general direction in the choice of program for each gender, for female Syrian students, it shows a different trend as all of them are enrolled to the CAD course. Whereas most students from each of the countries are female, there are more male graphic design students from Spain.
