Dear Professor Smith,

I hope you are in the best of spirits. I am Tamanna and I was your student in the summer batch of masters course at Yorkville university. I hope you remember me as your course helped me a lot to achieve my goals.

The reason why I am writing this letter is to ask a favor from you regarding a employment opportunity. I cleared an interview at one of the renowned company in our town. It is a position of junior data analyst, which is paying me a good salary. My key responsibilites are similar to the case studies I did in your subject. Therefore, I got selected for the interview easily.

However, my manager asked me to get a reference letter from my university. Signature is mandatory from one of my professors. Hence, I thought i should contact you. It is a crucial position for me and can have positive impact on my career.

You can mention my soft skills in this reference letter with acadamic achievements. If possible could you also attach my competition results in this letter. This will not only can assist me to gain a appropriate impression but also can increase the chances of getting this position.
