Dear Sir,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you about my upcoming absence from my part-time French classes. As you know, I am taking these classes to improve my language skills for both personal and professional development. I believe that mastering French will greatly enhance my career opportunities and allow me to connect with a wider range of people.

Unfortunately, I am currently suffering from a bad cold, which made it difficult for me to attend classes and focus on my studies. I need to take some time to rest and recover.

Despite my absence, I am committed to keeping up with the lessons. I will receive the class materials on my own and complete any assignments posted online.
