Hi Glenn,

I am writing this letter to invite you for a volunteer event to clean up a Central Park. I have sent an invite mail to all our Chennai community members.

This park is not clean recently. Many people littering the park and there are leaves all around the park. Most of our Chennai community members exercise in the Central Park. So requesting for volunteer work to clean the park and paths to avoid any disease to spread because of the littering.

Most of our community members are working. So, I have planned to clean the Central park on Sundat 17th,December 2025. We will meet at the Central Park East gate entrance.

To clean the park I will bring the two different big plastic covers to collect the litters and leaves separately. I have booked the hotel to refresh and change clothes. Please bring the alternative clothes.

Your faithfully,

Santhoshkumar N

Task Response

The letter addresses the task requirements by inviting community members to a park cleanup event and including details about the purpose, date, time, and materials. However, there are some minor omissions and areas for improvement. For example, the letter could benefit from a more engaging and persuasive tone to encourage participation. Additionally, providing more specific details about the time of the event and clarifying the arrangements for refreshments and changing clothes would enhance the letter's clarity and effectiveness.

Coherence & Cohesion

The letter's organization could be improved for better flow. Consider dedicating separate paragraphs to each key point mentioned in the instructions: the event's purpose, logistical details (date, time, location), and required materials. This will enhance clarity and make the letter easier to follow. Also, the introduction is abrupt. Start with a more engaging opening to draw the reader in.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is generally simple and repetitive ('clean,' 'park,' 'littering'). Try to incorporate a wider range of vocabulary to make the letter more engaging and descriptive. For example, instead of 'littering,' you could use 'discarding waste improperly' or 'polluting.' Instead of 'clean,' consider 'restore' or 'beautify.'

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The letter contains several grammatical errors that affect clarity. Pay close attention to subject-verb agreement, correct tense usage, and article usage ('a,' 'an,' 'the'). For example, 'Many people littering the park' should be 'Many people are littering the park' or 'Many people litter the park.' Also, 'Sundat' should be 'Sunday.' Proofread carefully to catch these errors.
