Dear John,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m writing to ask you for a favor regarding my plan for moving to Boston.

I recently got promoted to assistant manager for our company’s other branch at Boston. As you know I’ve been trying for this position for months and finally I received the good news from my friend who works in HR department.

The new position is similar to my previous role but generally it comes with more responsibilities as now I’ll be managing a team of six salesmen who basically will do what I was to do in my previous role in New York. The good news is the hard work will be paid off very generously as the compensation for this role is really exceptional.

As in the coming weeks I’ll be really busy to sell my furniture and doing the paperwork for the transformation I would really appreciate if you could give me some help to find a new place in Boston. I’m looking for a one-bedroom condo near downtown but I’ll be fine with two-bedroom apartment if it comes with a good price.

Can’t wait to see you again as it has been a long time since that steak dinner in Chicago
