Dear Dr. Ahmed,

I am writing to request an unpaid vacation for two weeks in order to have some time to study for my master exam.

For the past month, I have been struggling to coordinate between work and my master but I have an important exam in two weeks. My post graduate study is in orthopedic rehabilitation, and it will benefit me in my work at the hospital. I am going to give some spectacular lectures afterwards which will be based on the recent guidelines. It will include new approaches in orthopedic care post various surgeries.

During this vacation, I will try to cover some night shifts given that I got some free time, moreover I am going to have some extra shifts after finishing the exam.

This is the final exam and it is very hard, so it would be helpful to have a time off work to study. I believe this matter requires your urgent attention.
