Dear Miss Richell,
I am writing this letter to formally request a paid time off next week for three days. This time off is in response to the invitation to participate at a free seminar sponsored by the British Council.
The all-expense seminar-workshop is going to take place in Baguio City, where teachers who are trained to teach the curriculum for the International English Language Testing System or IELTS are expected to participate. I am presenting myself to particpate on the training program for I have been trained for the curriculum itself. In addition, it is a three-day seminar that falls on the 4th of May, and concludes on the 6th.
I have already arranged and prepared the lessons on the days I will be taking a leave of absence from, and have throroughly discussed the details with the teachers who will be tasked to do the substitution. Furthermore, the accommodation and the air fare to and from the venue have been fully covered by the sponsors themselves, so there is no need for the institution to reimburse on any financial responsibility.
If granted, it would be a substantial advantage for me and for our institution to take part in this timely opportunity. Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to address them promptly at your perusal and convenience.
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
JV Sanchez
