Dear Steve,

I hope you are well. I am writing to apologize for not providing your lawnmower on the promised time.

As you know that my wife was pregnant and on the Saturday morning, I was cutting the lawn when she suddenly started feeling pain. Hence, I had to rush to the hospital with her, leaving the lawn messy. We had a baby boy on that night, which made me swamped. It was an early birth as we were given an estimated date for 2 weeks later than the actual date.

In all of this chaos, I totally forgot to return your grass cutter. Though when I came home I realized and told the maid to hand it over to you. Also, sincerely apologies for not fueling up the tank. It might have the gas to use it for one time. I will get it filled when it’s not in use; please let me know.
