Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to request a postponement of my course joining date, which I enrolled in last week.

My name is Chris Paul, and I was admitted to your university for the computer science course, which begins on November 1st. I am from Pakistan and booked my ticket for October 29th. My father passed away in a road accident; therefore, I am unable to join the classes. I request a postponement of my classes for two weeks. Given this emergency, I hope you will understand my situation and cooperate with me.

Further, I would like to request that I be provided with any missed lessons online so that I can cover my studies.
