Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Thakur Arpan, student ID 127271, case number 8977. I am writing to explain my absence from the May 10th exam. I apologize for not providing prior notice. I had a high fever and was advised by my doctor to remain at home.

I had been severely ill for the past week and was taken to the hospital by my parents because my condition was not getting better. My body temperature was not dropping, and my eyes were turning yellow, so the doctor diagnosed me with Jaundice and admitted me for treatment. I was there from May 6th to May 9th for the procedure. After getting discharged from the hospital, the medical team specifically instructed me to rest in bed for another week.

This is why I could not attend the exam. I have a doctor’s note documenting my absence and medical condition. I request that the Committee give me another opportunity to take the exam, as my absence would impact my grades and possibly prevent me from advancing to the next level.

I hope you understand my condition and make the exception this time.
