Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to apologize for my absence during the exam.

My name is Jennifer and my student number is 2347689. I would like to explain the reasons I could not attend the exam and why I was not able to provide any evidence.

Firstly, I got intoxicated due to an Indian food I ate the previous day before. Everything was in order, until the morning of the exam. I woke up with a stomach-ache and I could barely leave the bathroom. In addition, I tried calling the lecturer, unfortunately, I had network issues and I was unable to reach him.

I would appreciate it if you could take my situation into consideration. I understand that I failed to give evidence on the day. However, given the circumstances, I hope my absence can be forgiving for future exams.

Thank you for your understanding and I apologise for the inconveniences this may have caused.
