Band 5+: You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement, and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter, • describe the situation • explain your problems and why it is difficult to work • say what kind of accommodation you would prefer Write at least 150 words. Dear Sir,

I would like to ask your help for my inconvenient room in college. As the previous arrangement, I am staying in 504 room with a Japanese student. However, our facibilities in our room is very bad and we can’t almost use anything in our room, which makes our life become very uncomfortable.

First of all, the light in hallways was broken so that it has been very dark in the afternoon afterward. It made us not only feel unsafe but also have difficulty in opening our door. Secondly, the water in our room seems to be genuinely dirty and we can’t even use it during this time. Thirdly, there are many infection in our room although we always clean it every day.

This is the reason why I would like to change our room to a new room. It’s better for us if a new room is also in the fifth floor to move our items easily. Moreover, I hope the water in a new room must be clean and clear because it affects a lot to our studying life.
