I am writing to sincerely apologise for my absence from the team meeting held yesterday morning. I understand that several key project updates and strategic decisions were disussed, and i deeply regret not being present.
Unfortunately, on my way to the office, I encountered an unexpected personal emergency my daughter became unwell at school and i had to collect her immediately. I tried to infrom the office but was unable to reach anyone before the meeting started. I assure you that this was an unforeseen situation and not a reflection of my commitment to the team. To ensure i stay up to date, i have contacted two colleagues who attended the meeting and requested a copy of the minutes. I will also schedule a quick catch-up with you, at your convenience, to clarify and points requiring my input.
